The Plaza Premium Lounge at KLIA2 or now known as KLIA Terminal 2 is a strange one. First, its clear that this is meant to be an Arrivals lounge of some sort, given its location outside of the departures area itself and being inside the mall attached to the terminal (Gateway).
In fact, its pretty easy to miss, given that its nestled in a hidden middle floor one level below the Departures at Gateway@KLIA2.
Upon arrival, you'll be greeted by the receptionists. As with most Plaza Premium lounges, Priority Pass and Loungekey are granted access to the lounge, alongside other premium credit cards.
Interestingly enough, several top-line credit cards do not provide lounge access to the Plaza Premium Lounge at KLIA2, notably Ambank's Signature Priority Banking line of credit cards.
Seating Area
With the lack of pictures to illustrate the lounge, one might think that I was not able to capture the whole lounge during my time, but in reality, the lounge is actually that small.
As mentioned earlier, this is meant to be an arrivals lounge of some sorts, but as there isn't any other Plaza Premium Lounge within KLIA Terminal 2 itself, Plaza Premium has smartly removed the 'Arrivals' label from the name to draw in travellers prior to departure.
Food and Beverage
Having been here several times, the food offered itself has more-or-less always been the same. I can't recall the last time where something else besides Nasi Lemak was served at the buffet area. However, I did have different types of noodles on separate occasions.
There was previously Asam Laksa served at the noodle bar as well. Fans of international cuisine will find that there aren't many options besides the occasional scrambled eggs and baked beans.
Washrooms
I'm glad to report that the washrooms are in excellent condition at the lounge. The highest levels of cleanliness were upheld, as is always the case with Plaza Premium Lounges. Interestingly, there were no shower suites available at the lounge.

Final Thoughts
The Plaza Premium Lounge at Gateway@KLIA2 is a decent lounge to have a quick bite before your flight.
Now, take my warning gracefully, if your flight departs from gates P and Q, I strongly recommend that you skip visiting the lounge altogether and head straight to the gates itself, especially if you have under two hours before your flight.
As I've mentioned above, the lounge actually sits outside the terminal, inside the mall that is attached to the terminal itself, and hence, to reach P/Q gates, you'll need to head back into the terminal past the check-in areas, go through security, get your bags checked, take the extremely long walk on the bridge to P/Q gates, and finally you'll be screened a second time once you arrive at the P/Q gates area.
Once again, if you're departing from gates P and Q, I strongly recommend visiting the Travel Club Lounge situated near the P/Q gates across the bridge after security instead. The Travel Club Lounge is opposite the Sama-Sama Hotel after security and is much closer to your P/Q gates, giving you much more time in the lounge. As these lounges are relatively new, I will share more on which credit cards have access to these lounges in the near future.
